A PDF page carries a rotation value, and filetity changes that value rather than redrawing anything. The page content is untouched, which is why the file does not grow and nothing gets softer. Nothing is uploaded.

Is my file processed on my device?
Yes. The file is read by your browser and never uploaded. There is no server to send it to.
What formats are supported?
PDF in. PDF out, with the chosen pages turned 90, 180 or 270 degrees.
What are the limits?
No page limit. Turning is in quarter turns, which is what the PDF format stores.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes, on any modern mobile browser. Large files are limited by the memory the phone gives the browser.
Does it work offline?
Yes, after you have used it once. Your browser keeps what the tool needs, so it then works with no network connection.
Will rotating make my file bigger or blurrier?
Neither. A PDF page stores its own rotation, so turning one changes a number rather than the picture. Nothing is redrawn and nothing is re-encoded.
Can I turn only some pages?
Yes. Select the pages you want turned and only those move. Select none and every page turns, which is the usual case for a document scanned sideways.
Why did my page turn further than I asked?
The turn is added to whatever the page already had. A page saved at 90 degrees that you turn another 90 ends up at 180, which is what pressing rotate twice should do.
Which way does 90 degrees turn the page?
Clockwise, to the right, which is how the PDF format counts rotation. The buttons say Right 90, Upside down and Left 90 so you do not have to know that.
Will other PDF readers show the page turned?
Yes. The turn is written into the page's own rotation attribute, the same value a scanner or Acrobat sets, and readers honour it because it is part of the PDF format itself. Nothing depends on this site being open.
Can I rotate a locked PDF?
Not while it is encrypted. The file is refused on opening with a message to remove the password first. Do that with Unlock PDF, rotate here, and protect it again if you need to.
