How it works / no cloud

A conversion engine, not an upload form.

filetity embeds each image into a new PDF in browser memory, one image per page, at the image's own pixel dimensions. The image data is copied in as-is rather than re-encoded, so no quality is lost. There is no account, queue, watermark, or remote server in the path.

  • Installable app
  • No file limit queue

Straight answers

No accordion. Nothing hidden.

Is it free?
Yes, with no watermark and no page limit.
Does it need an account?
No. There is no account system.
Is my file processed on my device?
Yes. The file is read by your browser and never uploaded. There is no server to send it to.
What formats are supported?
JPG and PNG in. PDF out, one image per page.
What are the limits?
No image count limit. Each page is sized to its image, so a mix of sizes produces a mix of page sizes.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes, on any modern mobile browser. Large files are limited by the memory the phone gives the browser.
Does it work offline?
Yes, once the page has loaded. The tool keeps working with no network connection.
Can I turn any image into a PDF, not just JPG?
Yes. JPG and PNG both work, and you can mix them in one document. If your photos are HEIC from an iPhone, use HEIC to PDF instead, which decodes them first. For anything else, convert it to PNG and bring it back here.
Are the images recompressed?
No. JPG data is embedded as-is, so the PDF holds exactly the image you gave it. Nothing is re-encoded and no quality is lost.
What page size do I get?
Each page matches its image's pixel dimensions. A 3000 by 2000 photo becomes a 3000 by 2000 point page, which prints and views at the image's own proportions.
Can I put several images on one page?
Not yet. Every image gets its own page.
