A conversion engine, not an upload form.
filetity opens your PDF in browser memory and draws each number on top of the page it belongs to, in the margin. Nothing is re-rendered: text stays text, images keep their bytes, and every page keeps its size and its rotation. Each number is positioned from its own page, so an A3 or landscape page still gets its number in its own margin. There is no account, queue, or remote server in the path.

- Does it need an account?
- No. There is no account system.
- Is my file processed on my device?
- Yes. The file is read by your browser and never uploaded. There is no server to send it to.
- What formats are supported?
- PDF in, PDF out. One file at a time.
- What are the limits?
- No page limit. Numbers are drawn 11 points high, in the margin, as "3", "Page 3" or "3 of 12". Numbers already printed in the document cannot be removed.
- Does it work on mobile?
- Yes, on any modern mobile browser. Large files are limited by the memory the phone gives the browser.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes, once the page has loaded. The tool keeps working with no network connection.
- My PDF already has page numbers. Will these replace them?
- No. They are added on top, so the document ends up with two sets. Nothing can remove numbers that are already drawn into the pages, so if the old ones are wrong, put the new ones in a different corner or fix the original document.
- How do I keep the title page unnumbered?
- Tick "leave the first page unnumbered". Page 1 comes back exactly as it went in, and page 2 gets the starting number, so a document starting at 1 shows 1 on its second page. Start at 2 instead if you want the count to include the title page.
- Will the number print on top of my text?
- It sits in the margin, closer to the edge than a text block normally runs, so on most documents it lands in white space. If your content already fills the margin, pick a different corner.
- Does it cope with pages of different sizes?
- Yes. Every number is placed using its own page's size and rotation, so a landscape page in the middle of an A4 document gets its number in the right place too.
