How it works / no cloud

A conversion engine, not an upload form.

filetity opens your PDF in browser memory and draws your text on top of each page you picked. The page underneath is not rebuilt: text stays text, images keep their bytes, and every page keeps its size and its rotation. Position and size are worked out per page, so a landscape page in the middle of an A4 document gets a stamp that fits it. There is no account, queue, or remote server in the path.

Is it free?
Yes, with no page limit. The only thing added to the file is the text you typed.
Does it need an account?
No. There is no account system.
Is my file processed on my device?
Yes. The file is read by your browser and never uploaded. There is no server to send it to.
What formats are supported?
PDF in, PDF out. One file at a time.
What are the limits?
No page limit. One line of text, up to 80 characters. Text only. It cannot stamp an image or a logo.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes, on any modern mobile browser. Large files are limited by the memory the phone gives the browser.
Does it work offline?
Yes, once the page has loaded. The tool keeps working with no network connection.
Does a watermark stop people copying my PDF?
No. A watermark is drawn content, the same as any other text on the page, and anyone with the right tool can take it off. It marks a document, it does not protect one. If you need a file nobody can open without a password, use Protect PDF instead.
Can this remove a watermark someone else added?
No. It only adds one. A watermark that was drawn into a page is part of that page's content, and pulling it out means damaging whatever sits under it.
Will the stamp land correctly on landscape or A3 pages?
Yes. Both the position and the size are worked out from each page's own dimensions and rotation, so a document mixing A4, A3 and landscape pages gets a stamp that fits every one of them.
Can I watermark only some of the pages?
Yes. Tick the pages you want and the rest are left untouched. With nothing ticked, every page is stamped.
