How it works / no cloud
A conversion engine, not an upload form.
filetity works out the size of the combined canvas and where each image sits on it, draws them in the order you set, and saves the result. The images are never uploaded, and when they are scaled it is only ever downward, so no detail is invented.

- Is it free?
- Yes, with no watermark and no page limit.
- Does it need an account?
- No. There is no account system.
- Is my file processed on my device?
- Yes. The file is read by your browser and never uploaded. There is no server to send it to.
- What formats are supported?
- JPG, PNG and WebP in. PNG or JPG out. PNG keeps transparency and loses nothing; JPG is smaller.
- What are the limits?
- No image count limit. The ceiling is the largest canvas your browser will encode, and a combination that goes over it is refused with the size it would have been, not saved broken.
- Does it work on mobile?
- Yes, on any modern mobile browser. Large files are limited by the memory the phone gives the browser.
- Does it work offline?
- Yes, once the page has loaded. The tool keeps working with no network connection.
- What happens if my images are different widths?
- You choose. Scale to match shrinks every image to the narrowest one in the set, keeping each one's shape, so nothing is stretched and nothing is enlarged. Keep sizes, pad leaves every image at its own size and fills the leftover space with a background colour you pick. Whichever you choose, no image is ever distorted to fit.
- Can I put the images side by side instead of stacked?
- Yes, that is the Side by side option. Stacked is the default because the common job is joining phone screenshots into one tall picture. Side by side works the same way, matching heights instead of widths.
- Does combining reduce quality?
- Saving as PNG does not: it is lossless, and images that are not being scaled are drawn pixel for pixel. Saving as JPG re-encodes everything, which costs a little and gives you a much smaller file. Scaling to match a narrower image does lose the detail it removes, which is why the tool never scales the other way.
- Does the order of the images matter?
- Yes, and you set it. The arrows under each thumbnail move an image earlier or later, and the number on it is where it will land: first is the top when stacked, and the left when side by side.
