Convert SVG to WebP at a width you choose, transparent or on white. The width is permanent once exported, and nothing is uploaded.

## Capabilities

- Free: Yes, with no watermark and no page limit.
- Account required: No. There is no account system.
- Processed on device: Yes. The file is read by your browser and never uploaded. There is no server to send it to.
- Formats: SVG in. WebP out, one file per drawing, or a ZIP when you convert several. Transparent background by default, or white.
- Limits: No file count limit. The width is fixed at export, so choose the largest one you will need. Very large exports are bounded by the memory your browser will give a canvas, and web fonts the drawing links to are not fetched.
- Mobile: Yes, on any modern mobile browser. Large files are limited by the memory the phone gives the browser.
- Offline: Yes, after you have used it once. Your browser keeps what the tool needs, so it then works with no network connection.

## Questions

### Why export a vector to WebP at all?

Because a lot of places will not take an SVG. Content systems often block it, since an SVG is a document that can carry script, and image fields tend to list raster formats only. WebP is an image, it is a fraction of the size of the equivalent PNG, and every browser has read it since 2020.

### Does the transparent background survive?

Yes, unless you choose white. WebP has a real alpha channel, so anything the drawing leaves empty stays empty and the logo will sit on any colour behind it.

### How do I pick the width?

Take the largest size the image will ever be shown at. Scaling down later is free; going up is not, because enlarging a WebP softens it and the shapes it came from are gone by then.

### Is the WebP lossy?

Yes, at the default setting. Flat colour and hard edges are what lossy compression handles worst, so a small export can pick up faint fringing along the lines. PNG stores those pixels exactly and is often the smaller file for this kind of drawing.

### Can the SVG run anything on my computer?

No. The file is loaded as an image, never inserted into the page, so any script inside it does not run and any link to a remote file is not followed. That is also why web fonts and linked images are missing from the export.
