## Capabilities

- Free: Yes, with no watermark and no page limit.
- Account required: No. There is no account system.
- Processed on device: Yes. The file is read by your browser and never uploaded. There is no server to send it to.
- Formats: PDF in. JPG out, one image per page. A single page downloads on its own, several arrive as a ZIP.
- Limits: No page limit. Very large pages at high resolution are limited by browser canvas memory; drop the resolution if a page fails.
- Mobile: Yes, on any modern mobile browser. Large files are limited by the memory the phone gives the browser.
- Offline: Yes, after you have used it once. Your browser keeps what the tool needs, so it then works with no network connection.

## Questions

### What resolution are the images?

You choose. The page is rendered at a scale you set, so a standard A4 page comes out around 1240 by 1754 pixels at 150 DPI, or double that at 300 DPI.

### Why is my converted page white where the PDF was transparent?

JPG has no transparency. Transparent areas are filled with white before encoding, which is why they do not come out black.

### Can I get PNG instead?

Yes. Switch the output format before converting. PNG is larger but keeps sharp edges on text and line art better than JPG.

### Can I convert only some of the pages?

Yes. Type the pages you want in the range box, as 1-5, 8, and only those are rendered. Numbers past the end of the document are ignored. A box the tool cannot read at all means every page, so a typo gives you the whole document rather than an empty ZIP.

### Which resolution should I choose?

150 DPI is the default and reads well on a screen. 72 DPI is for thumbnails and previews, and 300 DPI is what a print shop asks for. Higher settings make larger images and take longer, and on a very big page can run the browser out of canvas memory, which is why the failure message suggests dropping a step.

### What happens to a password-protected PDF?

It is refused before anything is rendered, with a message saying so. Remove the password first with the Unlock PDF tool, then bring the file back here.
