## Capabilities

- Free: Yes, with no watermark and no page limit.
- Account required: No. There is no account system.
- Processed on device: Yes. The file is read by your browser and never uploaded. There is no server to send it to.
- Formats: MP4, MOV and WebM in, mixed freely. MP4 (H.264 and AAC) out.
- Limits: Clips are joined end to end with no gap and no crossfade. Different resolutions are fitted to the largest without cropping; if even one clip has no audio, the merged file has none, since a silent stretch under the picture would be a worse result than no sound at all.
- Mobile: Yes, on any modern mobile browser. Large files are limited by the memory the phone gives the browser.
- Offline: Yes, after you have used it once. Your browser keeps what the tool needs, so it then works with no network connection.

## Questions

### What if my clips are different resolutions?

The merged video is sized to the largest width and largest height among the clips you gave, and anything smaller is letterboxed to fit rather than cropped or stretched, because upscaling a smaller clip costs bytes and loses nothing while cropping a bigger one throws its picture away.

### Can I control the order?

That is the point of the list. Clips arrive in whatever order the picker handed them over, which is rarely the order you want, so each row has arrows to move it, a preview to confirm it is the right clip, and the merge follows the list exactly as shown.

### What happens to the audio?

It merges alongside the picture when every clip has an audio track. If even one clip is silent, the whole merged file comes out with no audio, because a silent gap under a continuous picture reads as broken in a way a wholly silent video does not. Split the silent clip out and merge the rest to keep their sound.

### Is there a gap or a crossfade between clips?

Neither. Each clip starts exactly where the previous one ends. A pause has to already be in the footage, and a crossfade needs a real editor that can overlap two clips in time, which this is not.

### Can I mix formats, like an MP4 and a MOV, in one merge?

Yes. Every clip is decoded on the way in regardless of its container or codec, so what they arrived as makes no difference to the result, which is always one MP4.
