## Capabilities

- Free: Yes, with no watermark and no page limit.
- Account required: No. There is no account system.
- Processed on device: Yes. The file is read by your browser and never uploaded. There is no server to send it to.
- Formats: PDF in, PDF out. Any number of files.
- Limits: No file count or page limit. The practical ceiling is your device's memory, usually a few hundred megabytes on desktop.
- Mobile: Yes, on any modern mobile browser. Large files are limited by the memory the phone gives the browser.
- Offline: Yes, after you have used it once. Your browser keeps what the tool needs, so it then works with no network connection.

## Questions

### Does merging change the quality of the pages?

No. Pages are copied across, not re-rendered. Text stays as text, images keep their original data, and the output is the same quality as the input.

### What happens if one of my PDFs is a fillable form?

It comes through as a flattened page rather than a form. Measured on 2026-09-03: the field and the answer typed into it stay visible in the merged file, because the annotation that draws them is copied with the page, but the form definition itself is not carried across, so the boxes are no longer clickable and a reader will not list them as fields. That is usually what you want when you are combining documents to send. If you still need to fill something in, do that first and merge afterwards, or keep the form as its own file.

### Does merging keep the title and author of my documents?

No. A merged file is a new document, and it cannot honestly inherit the metadata of several sources at once. Pages, their sizes and their rotation all come across exactly; the title, author and keywords start empty.

### Can I merge a password-protected PDF?

No. The tool refuses an encrypted file rather than producing a damaged one. Remove the password first, then merge.

### What order do the pages come out in?

The order you arrange the files in, and within each file the original page order. Reorder the list before merging to change it.
