## Capabilities

- Free: Yes, with no watermark and no page limit.
- Account required: No. There is no account system.
- Processed on device: Yes. The file is read by your browser and never uploaded. There is no server to send it to.
- Formats: HEIC and HEIF in. One PDF out, one page per photo, each page the size of its photo. Photos are stored as JPEG inside the PDF.
- Limits: One photo per page, in the order shown, which you can change. A HEIC holding several images, such as a burst or a Live Photo, contributes only its main photo. No limit on how many photos, beyond the memory your device gives the browser.
- Mobile: Yes, on any modern mobile browser. Large files are limited by the memory the phone gives the browser.
- Offline: Yes, after the first use. The decoder is about 347 KB and downloads once, then your browser keeps it, so later visits work with no network connection.

## Questions

### Why would I want a PDF instead of the photos?

Because forms ask for one. Landlords, universities, visa applications and HR systems usually want a single PDF, and what you have is four photos of a document taken on an iPhone. This puts them in one file, in order, without you needing a scanner.

### Can I change the page order?

Yes. Each photo is a row with arrows to move it up or down, and the pages come out in the order shown. The numbers beside them are the page numbers you will get.

### Why is my PDF large, and what does the quality slider do?

A modern phone photo is twelve megapixels or more, and four of them make a big file whatever you do. The slider sets how hard each photo is compressed on its way into the PDF. At 85 you would struggle to see the difference; drop to 60 if the form has an upload limit.

### Does this run optical character recognition on the pages?

No. The pages are pictures of your document, not searchable text, exactly like a photo would be. If you need the words out of it, use the OCR tool instead, which reads text from an image or a scanned PDF.

### How large is each page?

The photo's own pixel size, with one pixel per PDF point, so a 4032 by 3024 iPhone photo becomes a page 56 by 42 inches. Readers scale it to fit the screen, and a printer fits it to the paper if you ask it to.
